U.S. Ambassador to Syria Recalled
In response to the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in occupied Lebanon, the American ambassador to Syria has been recalled. FSO Bloggers
Here is an interesting Internet resource for you. Apparently there is a blogger underground of foreign service officers (FSOs) who blog about, what else, U.S. foreign policy. The Daily Demarche describes itself as, "A blog by members of the State Department Republican Underground- conservative Foreign Service Officers serving overseas commenting on foreign policy and global reactions to America." In the interest of fair and balanced linking, I will let you know when I come across FSO blogs from the other side of the political perspective.

Did North Korea Cheat? - Foreign Affairs
This article in the January - February issue of Foreign Affairs examines the evidence for a North Korean nuclear program. The article was written before the announcement last week by the North that they do indeed have nuclear weapons. This, as the New York Times reports today that the National Security Council has adopted a "tool kit" of techniques to meet the North Korean nuclear challenge.
