Back to the Future
This op-ed (The Weekly Standard - Will the Truman Democrats Please Stand Up) attempts to explain why a foreign policy promoting freedom and liberty is not being supported by traditional liberal idealists. It is an interesting question. I would actually pose their question differently: Is Bush a Wilsonian idealist?

North Korean Nuclear Challenge
North Korea made it official today, declaring that they are a nuclear power (CNN - North Korea says it has nuclear weapons). How should the U.S. handle the North Korean nuclear challenge? Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times has some thoughts here on this vital question.

Rice Abroad
As you know, Secretary of State Rice is finishing up her first trip to Europe and the Middle East as America's top diplomat.
