The President's Trip to Europe and the Middle East
The White House has released the President's itinerary for his visit to Poland, Russia, France, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar. He comes back Thursday, June 5. In Poland, Bush will meet with Polish President Kwasniewski and reinforce the warm ties between the Polish and American people. From Poland, he will travel to St. Petersburg, Russia to meet with Russian President Putin and participate in ceremonies commemorating St. Petersburg's 300th anniversary. President Bush will then travel to Evian-les-Bains, France to participate in the G-8 Summit hosted by French President Jacques Chirac. From the G-8 meeting he will travel to Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt for June 3 meetings with Arab leaders. From Egypt, he will travel to Aqaba, Jordan on June 4 for a meeting with King Abdallah of Jordan and for meetings, conditions permitting, with Israeli Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Prime Minister Abbas. On June 5, the President will go to CENTCOM to visit with members of the Coalition armed forces in Doha, Qatar.
