House Members Start Informal Debate on U.S. Policy on Iraq

Bush Says Doing Nothing About Iraq Not an Option for U.S.
From the State Department: Iraq was the main topic of conversation September 4 at an hour long White House meeting between President Bush and leaders of the U.S. Congress. Bush said he told the congressional leaders that doing nothing about the threat that Saddam Hussein poses to the United States and the world, "is not an option for the United States."
